Bolt-on cam gear retainer that locks the helical-cut cam gear in place under high RPM and high fuel delivery. On mechanically injected builds the gear can walk off the cam when you're pushing fuel, this stops it.
- Locks the helical cam gear under extreme RPM and fueling
- Install with red Loctite, torque the bolt to 44 ft-lbs
- Cheap insurance on a high-fuel mechanical build
Note: Not required on common rail engines or anything already running a straight-cut/spur gear.
Fits: Mechanically injected Cummins (12V P-pump and VE builds running a helical cam gear).
