Installation Recommendations:
For best results, follow the factory torque sequence and complete the torque process in multiple stages:
- First pass: 60 ft-lbs
- Second pass: 100 ft-lbs
- Final pass: 145 ft-lbs
After initial installation and heat cycling the engine, we highly recommend performing a hot re-torque to 145 ft-lbs to ensure proper clamping force and long-term reliability.
Important Notes:
- It is highly recommended to chase all threads in the block prior to installation and clean the holes thoroughly with compressed air.

Hand-thread the studs into the block only—do not torque them in.
- Once a stud bottoms out, back it out approximately 1/4 turn to ensure proper clamping and prevent binding.
