Every 6.7L Power Stroke owner knows the two plastic failure points in the factory fuel system: the engine-mounted fuel filter housing and the injector return fitting. Ford’s filtration itself is excellent. The problem is the plastic it lives in, which gets brittle with heat cycles and eventually cracks and leaks fuel. The S&S Diesel Motorsport Ford 6.7L Fuel Leak Prevention Kit (LPK) may not be the first solution to market, but it is the correct one. It fixes the leak points while meeting and exceeding the OEM filtration specification instead of sacrificing it.

Rather than reuse the OEM fuel filter cup, the fuel system engineers at S&S went with a billet aluminum two-post mount that accepts a much larger Donaldson spin-on filter. That keeps the factory 4-micron absolute at 99% efficiency spec while packing nearly double the dirt holding capacity (23 grams vs 12 grams OEM). And because fixing one leak point while leaving another makes no sense, every kit also includes the all-metal Fuel Leak Prevention Fitting for the injector return. Both factory plastic failure points are gone in one shot.

The standard Fuel Leak Prevention Kit covers the engine-mounted side: #6.7F11-LPK for 2011-2016 trucks and #6.7F17-LPK for 2017-2026 trucks, each at $300.00 USD.
